I got them from Bruce Wade at roundeyes dot com. Home

Bruce is a TLCA guy and a big supporter of the sport. Great lights. I have the street legal bulbs, but they sell 130w off road bulbs.

Beautiful! Do you have the stock wiring harness?

I just ordered a pair :grinpimp:

Did you add the grab handles on the front handles or was that the PO?

I ran without the sway bar for about a year, then put it back on... it really seemed to make passengers freak out! I honestly can't say I really notice a difference one way or the other on the trail. Now I just leave it hooked up.

Our cruisers are twins! I even have my IH8MUD sticker in the same spot haha

Thats looks like a lot of weights on your driver side rear wheel. I think you should get the tire rotated on the rim to get it positioned better. (Unless my eyes are deceiving me, everything is so shiny.)

I added them. I even added one above my head like on the passenger side. Self tappers :D

I will hook mine up. It does not seem the least bit spooky like it is now, but I will see what it feels like with the Sway Bar on.

As for the wheel weights, I don't feel any vibs...I am going to run it. I don't plan on doing any long hauls in this thing.

looks good.

it doesn't take you long to get the lift, tires, and now 4.88's

I am not going to do the 4.88's that is not what I need at all after driving it with the 33's.

Gonna keep the 3.70s until I get an H55 :D

As for the KMs, I thought I was getting the KM2's but they are way backordered. I found these and I jumped on them. I only have 4, I need to find a spare before all of these are gone.

I just got my OME lift kit shipped to me from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters, and have a couple questions:

1) the kit included a small envelope with two washers, around 3/4 inch diameter, 1/2" high, with about a 3/8" diameter. This is a solid metal piece, like nickel or something. What is this for?

2) The front u-bolt plates are showing their age, and the hole that accepts the bolt from the springs has lost its shape (now it's an oval, about an inch long). Can I make this work, or do I need to hit the junk yards?

Those are called center bolt spaces. If your Cruiser came equipped with the rear leaf spring isolators (rubber contraptions bolted around your rear springs at the u-bolts) then you can choose to get rid of those isolators (often rusty and falling apart) but you will need to use the spacers. The hole on your axle will be ~1" but the spring pin heads are only 1/2", that isolator used to take up the gap. Rather than figure out if a customer is going to need them or not, we just include them in all of our kits, it costs us a couple bucks but saves you a bunch of frustration in the long run. If you don't need them, chuck them in your spare bolt bin :D

I would say hit the wrecking yard or try to repair yours. Could you weld the hole and then re-drill?

a good tip if you are doing one of these by yourself is to have a small ratchet strap... you can use it to leverage the springs and get things aligned when going back together, which is a little bit of a challenge by yourself. Something thats adjustable and will work in tight spaces.

Nice looking rig and could be a twin sister of different mothers with my blue 84FJ60 that was also bought in Colorado and came east in early 90s. I have the KM2 on mine and love them so far...

hey - where did your front bumper come from?
