Hello Missil,
If I understand you correctly, you want to put your 2F into this chassis. That will not be a problem, as the H and F engines use the same mounts: the B series is the only anomaly for the 40 series.
Changing from RHD chassis to LHD to suit your firetruck will not be too hard, given you have the donor truck. You will find that most of the holes are pre-drilled in the frame. You will grind the rivets out of your steering box mounts from both frames, and mount the LHD mount to your Aussie frame. Then you will have to install nutserts to hold the bell crank to the front of the frame. You will find that the holes in the cross brace exist for the LHD bell crank; they simply don't have nuts welded to the inside.
Finally, you will either have to cut the inside box from the front frame rail out of the LHD or fabricate a similar item to hold the side of the bell crank which faces the frame horn. This part does not exist on the RHD version. I don't think that will be very hard to accomplish.
As for the month of production: You may have transposed the first two digits, as I am not aware of any HJ47s starting with '30'. Given yours is a 1984, it is likely that yours begins '03', rather than '30'. Given that, I'll assume your VIN is HJ47-
037712 and answer for that. Yours is a very late build, and was likely produced in late August or September, 1984.
I saw a lot of rusty cars when I was in Denmark: is that what happened to this poor rig? Are you still in DK? Looking forward to seeing photos.
