Thanks, I haven't touched it in a long time. Been busy with other peoples projects. As well as this one...

Well got another piece to the Cruiser puzzle. Picked up an H1C Holset Turbo to replace the CT26. Right now it has a 21 mm exhaust housing but I am currently looking for a smaller wastegated housing off of an HX35. Hope this turbo works well for what I want to do which will be max boost of 30 psi.

Well now that the Tacoma has a solid axle and is not eating up my money in wheel bearings as well as other parts for the crappy IFS I have pulled the Cruiser back into the shop for some serious work this winter.

I pulled the front axle out and cut everything off the front. I'm going to do a shackle reversal as well as outboard the springs to fit the 60 series axle properly. I ground off the line-X off the front part of the frame so I can plate it. I will plate the frame to make it stiffer to try and get rid of the frame twist that the 40 series is known for. I will also box in the front frame horn to increase strength as well. Here are some pictures of the stripped front of the frame.

Plated the front part of the frame from the cab mounts to the very front in 3/16" plate to help strengthen the frame to keep it rigid and from twisting up under flex. I ran out of mig wire one weekend so had to finish up the welding another weekend but its all done now. I cut out a box so that you can still read the original serial number stamped into the frame.

I also boxed in the front frame horn on the RH side to strengthen it. Next is to build the front spring mounts outboarded to fit the 60 series axle.

Well I changed plans once again. This is the final revamp on the axles. I'm making both Cruisers identical in the engines and drivetrains. This will make expeditions and what parts I need to carry much less of a hassle since parts will work from one Cruiser to the other.

Anyways I got some 80 series axles and I'm going to leave the rear on leafs but three link the front with coil overs. So anyways I got the axles cleaned up and ready for mounts. I started modifying the tub as well to make room for the NWF black box that will require the transmission hump to be extended. Pictures will be up in the next little bit of that.

In the mean time here is the pictures of the front axle all cleaned up.

Rear axle all cleaned up with perches just sitting in place for now. Haven't had time to weld them in and get it centered properly.

Well after a lot of thought and reading up on the cramped space in these cabs for someone tall I decided I want to be comfortable. I'm looking at getting the Aqualu 6 inch longer tub. I'm not too big of a fan of fiberglass so I'll get my top stretched and keep that all steel. With the modifications I have to do to the tunnel and everything for the dual case set up I figure why not just get a new tub thay won't rust and is ready to go. Other than that I have been busy rebuilding my Tacoma which will hopefully be done by spring and stay finished.

Awsome lookin truck. Any updates? Any chance you'd be interested in selling the original seats if you have them? I'm in Grande Prairie.
