Ok so my girl the dogs and I was drivin to the beach the other day. I was about 70+ and all of a sudden Betsy just lost power. So I got off the interstate and pulled over. She would idle fine but would not rev at all. I got out check everything and it all seemed fine. Fuel level in the carb looked fine through the sight glass. I decided to try something I pulled out the choke and it would rev up. This tells me that the carb is not getting enough fuel. I get her to drive about 15 miles home at about 35mph. I go and do a full tune up. Wires, plugs, rotor, cap. Still the same, then my buddy came over and was like, "have you ever checked the filter in the thing.....lol he was right. The filter looked like it was from 1983... :( I got a new filter and now all seems fine. Check out the pics of the filter.

As you can see no light will even pass through the paper filter.

Ok everyone I finally did it. With some help from my friends I was able to start my body off restore and pull the body off the frame.

We started by taking the front end a part.

image-1357404565.webp

Then I started to remove the body slowly but surely. There was some things that have to remove before you can rove the body.
1. Remove radiator
2. Radiator core support
3. Disconnect brake lines from frame
4. Disconnect clutch line from frame
5. Disconnect fuel lines from frame
6. Disconnect power steering lines from pump and gear box
7. Disconnect all vacuum line connected to engine that go to the frame/body.
8. Disconnect speed cable
9. Disconnect emergency brake cable
10. Disconnect wires from starter/trans/engine
11. Disconnect throttle linkage and choke cable from carb.

There is some other things that an prob forgetting.

From there I started to lift the body really slowly
