Dang, that is a lot of holes.

I just did my LC with Herculiner up to the windows last weekend and I really like it so far.

I only sprayed some zinc stuff on the holes from the outside and covered with aluminum tape. Should I be worried about rust from inside the body?

I don't understand why people are worried about rust from the holes. They didn't rust with a plastic clip in them why would they rust now? But it's not to late to cover them from the inside with tape if you want.

Time for Al's Liner

Well, I finally finished bondo'ing all these darn holes. Got it primed and masked and then sprayed Al's Liner. I have had good success with Al's on my drawers and roof rack removal, so I looked forward to using it to line the body. Here are some pics of todays progress:

that turned out really nice, congrats. How much did it take to cover up to that point? Looks amazingly better than all of that Lexus cladding.

Man, that's some serious taping off. I guess you needed to do that with the spray and you needed to be more precise than me since your vehicle isn't black. I just did a really simple tape job and rolled on.

I've gotten more and more compliments on mine as time goes on. People think it's really smart and practical.

I'll look it up if I have to, but can you tell us what that cost to do?

looks good. I plan on taking the fiberglass tupperware off my truck in the future and getting it rhino lined.
I saw a hzj73 that had this done and it looked great.

That turned out great Derrick! Good job.

Reassembled and washed today

Today I put all my door panels back on and installed the drawers, lights, and bumpers. I didn't get to the sliders but decided to give her a bath.

What do you think?

The Al's Liner cost $100 per gallon kit. You can get away with 1 gallon but I applied 2 coats, a gallon per coat.

Looks awesome price? Which gun did u use? And where can I order em?

I picked up the Al's Liner at my local 4Wheel Parts. The gallon kit comes with the poly, an activator, a catylist, color (black), and primer. You have to choose on how to apply. They sell a hopper from Al's but it's $55. I found the same hopper at HF for $19.

With the 2 gallons, the hopper, and masking, I am into it for about $250.

I'm sure there is a thread with the info, but waht is the procedure to get the cladding off? Are there bolts or just body clips? This project is high on my list except I'm going to line the entire truck tan.

Which nozzle did you with the HF gun. I already have one from there for shooting drywall texture looks like the exact same thing AL's sells? Except different packaging.

I used the smallest nozzle with high air pressure for a fine texture.

Wow that really came out nice. How many hours did you put into this whole process. I have the same colored vehicle and need to set some time aside to black out the grill and spray the truck.
