Sold My Truck :(

Well, this chapter in my LandCruiser life is over. Not to say there isn't another one down the road, but I sold my 100 cruiser. The buyer is very excited about his purchase and I'm even happier that its going to someone who appreciates all of the work I have put into it over the years.

I did want to share an experience I had with a class act shipping company that transported the rig to the new owner. The name of the company is called Western Auto Transport (i'm not affiliated with these guys in anyway). They are NOT a broker and they own and operate there own rigs. They use solid side trailers and the driver that picks up the truck is who drops it off. Their equipment was unbelievable. they even had two Bently's in there when they showed up to my house. kinda cool... Cost was very reasonable at $750 to transport from Kansas City MO to the western part of North Carolina. You cant buy a one way ticket and pay for gas home for that!!!

The nice thing was that I was in contact with the driver at all times. They where on time with pickup and delivery and had no issues at all. I would recommend these guys to ANYONE!

Bummer! [STRIKE] I thought you decided not to sell?[/STRIKE] (der, guess not, obviously.) You'll be back. I only lasted a few months without a cruiser. Once. Back in 2005...

Ha ha, Western Auto Transport picked up a Land Rover Series III I had sold. The driver drove in and tore strip down the center of the aluminum roof before getting it stuck in the truck. Reversing didn't work (really wedged in there) so he had to air down all four this to get it unstuck. I don't think he still works for Western...
