Nice, I like the before/after picture!

Hope to stick around and make it to CM and see your truck(along with all the other sweet 100s).

Zane, fantastic write up. Thanks so much. Every write up should be modeled after yours. I loved the pics and especially how you had links to other pages for more detail and also links to videos too. Bravo!!!

Also, so that I can pick and choose battles with the wife, what were the ballpark prices for each mod? Much thanks.

I could provide exact pricing for each mod, but the concern with doing that in this tread is in a year from now when someone is looking back on this post pricing may be different. If you want exact pricing that I spent, I'm happy to share with you. Just shoot me a PM.

Search the web and you can find good deals on this stuff, you just have to spend some time on the web.

Very nice statement! And you've done GREAT work doing mods yourself saving money and building a better 100. The rig looks fantastic and I'm sure you will have years of fun and exploring with it. Great write up Zane.

Great write up. Beautiful well thought out truck. Nice combo of aftermarket and "homemade" parts. If I tried to weld something, it would be like hitting plastic with a blow torch...not pretty! Keep up the great work!

Man that thing looks nice. Wish mine looked that good. With wife, kids, and a job where do you find the time to do the fab work? Good job.

let’s see... kids go to bed around 8:00, I play in the garage from 8:30pm to 12:00 once a week and most importantly I have a very understanding wife. Good wife=Nice truck.. ha..

Thanks for the kind words!

Far, yours isn't a bad either! You have lockers, something we both want. At least all three of us have the dash mic holders(gave him the one you gave me last night since I picked up a second.

ARB Fridge Stand:

Completed the removable ARB Fridge stand! This stand integrates into the Rear Storage Drawers and mounts to the factory seat brackets. See post for more pictures and details on the built up. Find the write up HERE

great thread, thanks!

Fantastic looking truck! I have spent a few nights questioning my decision to go with an FJ62 as a daily driver and weekend warrior.

I love the 62, but since probably 75% of the miles put on it are commuter miles, I have thought about going with a uzj100 within the next few years.

Either way, I see your build as inspiration. It looks and seems to work wonderfully.

Peace

Zane, you have touched on the key to success for any married guy who likes toys! And for those of you who's wives aren't quite so "understanding" of our hobbies, change the equation to happy wife = nice truck and take her out a couple times a month...let her know that she's still important, too! ;)

Excellent build thread, Zane. That is some top notch fabrication work. Congrats on one great looking rig!
