Is there such a thing as a one piece cab/roof, or was this one bondod on? There is no seam on side, but one on back.

Yes, there was a non removable top version made, the cab is slightly smaller front to rear

Also the the rear split window was removed and a one piece installed..

These are all the things I saw wrong with it (there might be more?).

-Wrong hood (it’s a later model) should be a split hood with a chrome spar

-Wrong fender turn signals (later model)

-Wrong front bib (later model)

-Wrong window frame/hinge/wipers (later model)

-Wrong rear axle (later model). Pumpkin should be centered. Depending on when in ‘63 it was produced.

-Wrong bezel. Should be stamped “Land Cruiser”. Depending on when in ‘63 it was produced.

-Wrong rear window should be a split window

-Wrong rear tailgate (later model) the one on the truck is a FJ-40 factory soft top (FST) tailgate

All of the OEM missing parts are going to be very difficult to find and if/when you do you’re going to pay.

If it were me I would resto mod it and have a fun little truck.

Definitely something odd happened to that one. He’s going to be hard pressed to get 20 for that thing.

The hood is wrong for a 65, doors are wrong, seats are wrong, steering column is wrong and obviously the bed is wrong. I’m wondering if this was a South American build, sure seems like it to me. Wrong dash also, even the windshield is wrong. The VIN plate is missing, this definitely has to be a SA build.

The roof doesn’t even connect right, what the heck is this ? I’m now thinking someone tried to build a 45 out of a 1980 plus fj40.

Maybe…?!?!? I don’t like it but I posted it anyway because maybe somebody does. It’s pretty bad and with the recent sale of the BAT SWB 45 there’s no way he’s going to get anywhere near his asking price.
