I read that the 2f has better oil flow and that the engine get the oil after it goes through the filter. Can the F during a rebuild do this(open up for more oil flow and filter before going to engine)?? Or is it just not worth trying to do? I know most will say upgrade but I have a nice cruiser that I want to keep stock

The old F engine has worked this long without improving oil flow, it is not a race engine, just an old fashioned, simple engine. It was designed to work the way it has for many years.

The flow isn't the issue...for the bottom end. It's bypass filteration. Do some research.

Top end can benefit from bypass lubrication, but it's a Rube Goldberg production.

Yes, it is adding a filter between the oil pump and the delicate bearings inside the engine. There's no good, simple way to do that on an early F block. The late F block is cast for the full flow oil filter and internal oiling to the rockers.

If you're referring to my post, the answer is no.

ok so i need an explanation please
