This is what comes in the mail and if your using a gm column it just makes it that much easiser because of not having to worry about the hazard switch problem. And all wires are clearly numbed and labeled to where they go

If you notice I used my stock plug for my interment cluster

The fuse box is mounted to the old ecm mount and provides ez access to replace fuses and how I have it ran under the dash and on the firewall

The kit comes with both female plugs that run the turn/hazard/horn switch and cruse control switch on the gm column if that's what you use. Also has the pre wired power switch plug for ignition its really nice and very high quality kit for something that's 165+ship

Good God Man!! I would be worrying more about that diamond plate floor and other rust issues before spending money on wiring...

I for one am glad he is doing this.

Wire the car, fix all the mechanical, then worry about body.

Best,

Yes this is true I made a bad choice but when it was put in I was like 14 or so and I plan to rip it out but when I get the body work and most of all the mechanical is done she purrs like a kitten and shifts and drives just as well. I just want to do away with the headers and weber carb with a asin carb and 3piece man. Off of a 60

Toyota convention is to use 1 flasher to run both the turn signals and the hazards. GM uses 2. The switch is complicated and the connectors are not compatible with the GM harness. You can work around it, but it takes some time puzzling and making your own custom wire harness for that piece of the install.

same problem arises with any other aftermarket harness if you want to retain the Toyota switches, regardless whether you do the GM steering column conversion or keep the Toyota column

the aftermarket harnesses are designed according to GM philosophy

I got one of my tail lights and my wireing ran down the left side of my truck frame rail and soilder considering all thats happend it should be an achivment

Good job with the wiring! I used the same kit on my previous FJ40 it worked great. I highly recommend that you wrap all the wiring with electrical tape to protect them from heat, water...etc.

I used wire loom - I hate the sticky tape wrapping
