Exhaust too loud

Hi all,
My exhaust seams unreasonably loud, and I was wondering if there is something I can do to quiet her up. Here is my set up:
Newly installed rebuilt carb from Marks Offroad.
New trollhole dizzy
New MAF header
New Toyota muffler. Exhaust pipe runs straight back just forward of the left bumperett. Excessive noise is coming out of the end of the tail pipe, not the engine compartment. Will a resonated tip help? Reroute exhaust pipe? Ditch header for exhaust manifold? Thanks in advance!

It's an old truck... old cars are loud at the tailpipe as well ... Go easy on the gas it will quiet down

You should have heard how my 4 banger triumph with a chery bomb sounded lol I set off alarms when I drove by... The Monza exhaust quieted it down... But still loud

Cripes, I'd trade the stock Toyota muffler for a fully baffled Caddy muffler, you've already changed everything else (so your not a purist).

Darn. I thought an OEM muffler was the way to go to get the quietest sound. Thanks for the info!

If the noise is bothering you have your muffler shop add a resonator to modulate the noise.

My brother bought my 71 FJ40 FST new. I remember my first drive in it, and boy was it loud. 43 years later, it's still loud. Being older now. I'm going to see if I can get a better muffler.

Once had a Chevota that could sneak up on people in a parking lot, fully baffled mufflers on both sides.

When I had the exhaust put on my 71 I just told the muffler shop to make it as quiet as possible. I barely hear mine running.
