Exhaust Rerouting around new Fuel Tank.

i finally got my new larger capacity gallon tank for my pig. 2 days / 3 jacks and 1 sore back later was able to get this in all by myself.

this created the problem that i have no place to run my exhaust. as you can see from the pictures the only pace for me to run it back is through the leaf springs which is obviously not an option.

i feel like i'm stuck with dumping exhaust in front of the rear wheel which i'm not really happy with. has anyone else done this with any luck.

You might want to check out @J Mack build thread, as I believe he created a custom size fuel tank. See what he did for exhaust.

I have a 50 gal. tank and ran the exhaust in between the springs and frame. I do have aftermarket springs with a lift on them.

Ron its good to know this is an option I had assumed that this was a big no no. i have stock springs though would that be a problem.

You can check how much flex you have before the axle hits the stop and see if the spring would hit the tail pipe. I don't think it would.

I ran a single 3” pipe over the frame and modified a 4” tail pipe to just barley poke out from my rear quarter panel..

Hard to tell from this photo but it sticks down about 1” lower than the bottom of the quarter if looking at it straight.

I made a half-assed attempt to look for pics of how you routed your exhaust in your build thread, but did not find much. Did you write anything about it?

HA….. I made a half-assed attempt at a build thread so it’s hard telling what exactly is in there, but I do believe that I have some better pictures mired in the middle somewhere.
