Hey great product development...I appreciate the effort and time invested into this! When do you suspect you'll have another round of inventory?

Thank you 👍 I'm shooting to have some in 3-4 weeks. My biggest hurdle/driving factor is getting enough hoses from Toyota for another run. So while I'm shooting for that time frame ultimately the available inventory at Toyota will determine the timing.

After roughly 50 miles...catch can is catching!👍
Awesome product! Very easy install. Thank you Epic Cruisers!

Yes sir 👍 Keep an eye on it to figure out your intervals of how often you need to drain it, of course it will vary depending on the condition of whatever engine it's installed on.

Last tip - remove the sticker because with the under hood heat it'll bond to the plastic and will then be impossible to remove. I'll add this to the instructions. I left the stickers on to protect the plastic bowl from scratches/small damage during shipping.

UPDATE - The next batch of our catch can kits are almost ready! We received the raw brackets which still need to be trimmed and tumbled. We are now only waiting for the hoses to ship from Toyota, the latest ETA is 06/20. Thank you for everyone’s patience!

Also interested in giving this a go. Seems like a great kit.

Have you thought about doing this for the 3FE?

Hello, checking in on the next batch. Any update on availability? Thank you!
Thanks for the interest and patience. My "real" job has been crazy lately so I haven't been able to devote that much time to the kits. That being said, I'm currently working on tumbling all 40 brackets to start assembling the kits. I also have 37 out of 40 hoses, 3 of them along with some other parts have been "stuck" at the USPS distribution center since June 14th 🙃. I'm hoping to have them completed and up on the website in the next few weeks, they definitely will be up before the end of the month.

Stay tuned to this thread or our Instagram for a heads up the day before they go up on the website.

Thank you. I have thought about it and it's definitely on the list, I'd say it's second or third on the list to complete. The next kit I'd like to complete is the one for the 2UZ-FE crowd (100 series, GX, 4Runner, Tundra, Sequoia). Business and time wise, it just makes the most sense with the large number of vehicles and enthusiast with that engine. Thanks for the interest!

Bump when will these be available?
I'm shooting to have them up the week of August 5th. I received the last of the hoses last Tuesday after they were stuck at USPS for over a month. I appreciate everyone's patience with this second batch since it's taken longer than I originally intended. On the positive side I'll have 40 kits available once I get them up on the website. Thanks for the interest!

I did want to give a different update regarding the hoses used in our kit...

Unfortunately, the OEM PCV hoses we source from Toyota are now made in China instead of Japan. This might explain why our hose order from Japan took so long. They appear to be of the same quality as the ones made in Japan and are the same price. However, I am a little disappointed to see that Toyota changed production from Japan to China. The product listing on our website has been updated to reflect that the hoses are now made in China.

Thanks for the update @EPIC Cruisers . I'm doing the head gasket on my engine and I'm shocked at how much oil was in the upper and lower intake manifold. I will be purchasing a kit here soon.

Yes I was shocked too, unfortunately our rigs are getting very old and so are our engines. With that age and wear comes blowby, unless you fully rebuild your engine which most of us don't do. I like to think of the catch can as preventative maintenance, not absolutely necessary but definitely nice to have.

Quick update for everyone regarding the next batch - I'm still working on the kits. The brackets are tumbled, the hoses are cut, and I currently just need to drill the mounting holes in all the catch cans. Just haven't had the time to do it this week, but plan on knocking it out this weekend. I apologize for the delay!

EPIC Cruisers ,

In the photo in post 43 above, the sticker on the plastic bowl lists a max operating temp of 125 degrees, Under hood temps in the summer time can easily exceed 125 degrees, So the question i have, what's the service life of that plastic bowl going to be when it's repeatedly exposed to temps over 125 degrees?

Great question and good eye. I'm not sure on the exact service life of the plastic bowl, however I can tell you that since having mine mounted for 60k/6 years (actually a little more than that now) I haven't had an issue with it. I've only had to replace the bowl once and that was because I tried cleaning it with brake cleaner which was my mistake. The bowls are also not expensive to replace, about $25 which includes the bowl/bowl gasket and the drain/drain gasket. I've added a "warranty" portion on the website which says we'll guarantee products for 90 days after delivery. However, if something fails shortly after that window I'll still happily try to remedy the issue within reason. I have purposedly set aside extra complete catch cans to quickly remedy any situation that may come up.

I honestly think that the "125° FARENHEIT" is an error, and that it's supposed to be CELSIUS. If you look up the working temperature range for
polycarbonate, the bowl material, it is listed as -40°C to 120°C aka -40°F to 248°F. This seems to make more sense and also aligns more with my real world findings.

I have received cracked bowls from the supplier before, but it appears to have been caused by them overtightening the drain during final assembly. Every single kit that has gone out so far, has had a catch can/bowl that I've personally inspected to make sure that it is NOT cracked before shipping out.

The engine was rebuilt in fall of 2021 with 272K miles on it. The supercharger was added in fall of 2022 and the HG blew in April of this year probably from a lean condition. I don't have any kind of AFR monitoring. I cleaned the intake during the rebuild and it was sparkling clean.

Bummer that it failed like that. But if you can visually see a difference in the intake after 3 years just imagine how caked up some rigs are after 27+ years without a cleaning (of course some of us clean the intakes when doing the inevitable HG job, but still). Of course the catch can doesn’t help clean retroactively, but it definitely helps prevent it from getting worse.

Hey just wanted to see if there is an ETA on a restock of these? Thanks!
How's Monday, Oct. 7th, sound? 👀

Kits will be available on the website on Monday, October 7th, around lunch time (Eastern Time).

I appreciate everyone's patience with this batch, it definitely took way longer than I expected. However, all the kits are assembled and packaged. They're ready to be shipped out as soon as orders start coming in. There are 40 kits available for this batch; hopefully this will give everyone more time to order since the first batch of 20 kits sold out in only 10 days. I will also be offering 20 sets of Toyota PCV valve/PCV grommets as an "add on" for the kits for an additional $20. This is a great option for the "while I'm in there" folks (like myself).

As a small token of appreciation I will be randomly selecting two orders, placed in the first week of sales, and putting an 80 series Hot-Wheels in them.
