Engine???

Ok so the FJ55 SUT may or may not turn out to be cool or a big hit but it wont be anything unless I can find an engine. I got 2 engines with it and like 2 of everything needed for a running engine the only problem is one block was a rats nest and has a hole through the cylinder and the other one is pretty rusted and I think beyond repair. So I need to find an engine anything that will bolt in stock to my 73 FJ 55. So if anybody knows where I can find one, has one for sale, etc. please let me know. Thanks Richard

There should be plenty of running F engines around. You may just have to drive a ways to get them. Try out the Pirate board, if you haven't already. Sounds like what you have is a pair of boat anchors!

If you're going to have to buy one anyway...I'd go w/ a 2F (it will bolt right up and you'll appreciate the extra HP).

I am located in Central Oregon and have recently aquired an F engine in my latest Cruiser purchase which apparently runs strong. I have yet to turn it over (that is why I have not officially posted it for sale yet) but the PO stated that it 'ran well when pulled'. It sports 6-into-1 headers, looks leak-free, has all bolt-ons in order to run on welded custom engine stand, and I would like to get rid of it for about $200.00. If you are interested, let me know.

lucy_fj55-Same goes for you I would have to say. I think the shipping would just be to much. Unless maybe I got it shipping like super slow ground or something. But I wouldnt want to burden you with getting that crated and such.

Thanks for the reply...You are right-you're better off finding an F engine near you. Should be able to pick one up for a good price (Maybe even free!).
