Heck, I'd probably sell my Vlair and buy a MV50 just to get the compressor set-up there. The MV50 is a better bang for you buck IMHO.

I had the 400P in the past and DID sell it for a MV50. Heck for what they cost, they are disposable.

I'm going to see what I can do later. Zane sorry, not trying to Hi-Jack your thread, I will start another thread if we get a GB going.

wow... I just revived this post about 2 hours ago and now there is a "group buy"! Let me look into how much effort it would take to produce a small run of these.

Sweet! That would be great!

Is the T that you used on the output the same thread pitch as the original, or did you have to "re-thread" the output port?

The thread was the same on the output, but not on the intake side. I had to tap the intake side for the brass fitting to work.

Cool, I am only concerned about the output side, here in CA you would fail a smog test if they notice anything drilled into the air box.

I hope you can pull something together and make a few bucks in the process. Let me know.

There's definitely a market!

The only thing I might add would be to have the quick-connect land on a bracket that perhaps sticks out the front of the grill (with a dust cap, of course). Would be nice to run an interior switch to a relay to control the pump without even opening the hood.

I just want the tray, mounting hardware and the Tee.

As an FYI, my MV50 came with a defective hose. The brass connector on the tire end was not bored through! So before you air-down for the first time make sure you've verified your new MV50 works! I was going to run a different hose anyway so it's not a big deal, but it was a surprise. Thankfully, there was another hose I could borrow in the group.

I already have a MV50, maybe I will visit the Fab shop by me later today and see if I can work something out?

Only issue with the fittings is the need to re-thread the output port hole to accept 1/4" npt. The tray and hardware I can see being easy to pull together.

No need to rethread the MV50. It is already 1/4"NPT at both ports.

I've been loving mine too, but recently the compressor simply crapped out unexpectedly. Not sure if I want to replace it with another MV50???

Does this thing have any sort of pressure relief? If you just let it crank away is it going to blow a hose/fitting apart?

No pressure relief. Thats why from the factory it comes with a non sealed male air nipple attached instead of the female sealed one.

That stock hose looks really crappy. I was thinking I would put a standard quick connect on the compressor but I guess I'll need a pressure valve.

I cant find it right now, but there was a rally good thread on the net some where that some one had taken one of these and basically modified all the bad parts on it. If I can find it later I will post it up.
