I know I should have inventoried everything, but had the heat shrinked bag that looked like it was all there. I am missing the two copper gaskets that mate the y pipe into the manifold and the stainless o2 sensor studs. I have tried to call EMS all morning and no answer or returned call. Anyone have any suggestions or specs on the 02 sensor studs and gaskets.

How long ago did you recieve what you have? The gaskets may be coming in a second shipment.

Seems like I have seen other threads like this and that was the case.

I did get a second shipment of the two clamps a couple of days later. I got the exhaust Thursday.

I would suggest calling them, leaving a message and or emailing them. They will get back to you.

Did all of the above. And pm'd ben with ems no word today at all. Didn't answer phone one time. Guess I missed a holiday of some sort. Not really good CS at any rate. I understand being out of the office or being busy, but you change your message to reflect the situation, return calls, or use an auto reply email to let people know you are out or whatever.

I posted not to rant but to try and see if anyone had specs on missing items so I could resolve the issue myself from local sources.

Sounds pare for the course for them. They couldn't pay me to use their product.

I would imagine any decent local shop could sort the missing bits out easy enough.

I know they are down people, but I also have tried everything and hate taking things to the forum level, but - this place seems to get things done.

I've had an order pending for over a month and would just like to know where I stand.

I have called upwards of 6 times daily for two weeks and leave a voice message twice per week.

Ive emailed baktasht via emsp, mud and also PM'd

Ben is gone so I'm sure its crazy there.

Baktasht - If you are out there - Please just shoot me a PM or E-mail....

Order # 4068 / 4174

Thanks!

I will say you will want to source the OEM manifold gaskets anyway. The ones supplied by EMS are not as nice. The OEM's are under $20 for the pair. I can't help with a source of O2 studs.

And so I understand this correctly I have two donut gaskets and I should also have two copper gaskets to go on the flanges where the y pipe meets the manifold correct??

Just the two donuts AFAIK. I did not use or receive any additional copper gaskets?

My original EMS donuts leaked. One because in haste I installed one of the retainer things backwards:bang: and it backed off. the other because I did not retighten everything after a week or two of heat cycles. I got the OEM's from the parts counter. Installed, and checked after about 500 miles. I was able to tighten all four about a quarter turn. I have not had a leak since.

Don't have them on me, but the instructions from their site make reference to copper gaskets in addition to the donuts. I was a little confused, seemed that donut should seal it, but on the oem y the pipe sticks up about a 1/4" above the flange and the ems flange and pipe is level so I thought that might be why.

I guess as far as studs I can take pipe and find pitch, hoping to get a length. Judging from the above post doesn't sound like they are going to get back with me any time soon.

I will be driving up to their shop Saturday if you have some info you need to get from them pm me and I will bring it to Baktash's attention in person.

Will do if I don't hear anything today. Thank you. Do you know if there are two copper gaskets in addition to the two donuts.

There are no gaskets, just the 2 internal ones you have. J
. Awesome thank you. I am going to sort it out tomorrow as far as bolts go. And I know they are in the office because a guy who I work with ordered a kit for his 62 series and they charged his card yesterday while they ignore the phones and every other form of communication.

I went through 2 sets of copper gaskets on my ems and ended up going oem. Make sure to clean up any previous gasket material from the manifold. Studs for my '97 were toyota PN:90116-08128-83. Nuts were M8-1.25 I think, they had those in stock.

So you had copper gaskets PLUS the donut gaskets where the y mates to the manifold? And are you saying those Toyota studs are for the 02 bungs or for the manifold? I ordered 4 studs for manifold as they don't stock anything hardly at local dealer.

Negative, I went through one set of copper gaskets in a few thousand miles and ems sent another set for free. I went through that set in another couple thousand miles. I called again and was told that they had switched to oem gaskets as the copper ones were too thin. I told him not worry about it and purchased them myself.

As for the studs, those were for the o2 sensors. I used regular 8x1.25 Allen head screws for the oz sensors until the studs came in as they were special order from Mr. T.

And to top it off the first o2 sensor won't fit in bung because they didn't blow the hole big enough to fit the end of the sensor in the pipe. B E A utiful.
