Interesting idea on the LX470 piece. I bought a chrome one out of Dubai for $60, but have yet to see a gold one.

I have an LX with the gold emblems and the trim pieces are still “chrome”

So what years did the LX470s have the removable trim item in the rear bumper to bolt up a pintle?

Mine is a 2004.

So I removed all my gold logos from the tailgate. Purchase a new chrome sombrero and a 3M eraser wheel.

The wheel works wonderfully but I still have some marks from the old logos and after using Meguiars Ultimate Compound.

Not sure what is the next aggressive step?

I'm hoping to clean it up and remove all trace of the old emblems and just run the new chrome sombrero.



Oh I also scored a sweet sale deal with Fathers Day discount on a Griot's Random Orbital, it came with one pad and sealant. So I got the 5.5" kit off Amazon for 40.00 bucks.

Going to seal the Tacoma as practice with the DA then hit the LC with a wash, clay bar, and work the paint over.

Guess we will see what happens.

Try some Lacquer Thinner "sparingly" then follow up with the DA buffer with a cutting pad & cutting compound.

I am all about clean and debadging. The best part about debadging is that the guys who compliment me on my land cruiser actually know a thing or two because they can identify what it is without seeing a badge. I also updated my tails to LED.

So can someone please help me and tell me what color my modling is?

I have no color code sticker that I can find and I know some white trucks have gray leather and others have tan, so the bumper and moulding is different between the two.

I'm searched Google good last night for moulding color codes and didn't come up with anything concrete.

I'm trying to determine if it's light beige or something else.

EXTERIOR COLOR CODE 056 Natural White : COLOR CODE CLADDING UCA46 Light Grayish Beige Metallic.

I don't think interior color makes any difference.

I am wanting to do something more than my new sombrero and am leaning towards the full width version from the 02-05 I think.

Saw a red TEQ emblem on an LC on the way home the other day. Cool story on the logo and the name change from Toyoda to Toyota!
