Yes. But the pipe will not be cool because of heat transfer from the engine itself. So I understand, this kit is all I need to delete egr but keep in place? Also, pipe next to the wiring harness is cool and non functional once installed? I ordered the kit yesterday, just trying to do what I need to get rid of it and the heat by #6 cylinder
Thank you. The pipe will be cool as in not being used? I don’t like it’s so close to my wiring harness. Is there any truth to that heat being the cause of head gasket failure by cylinder 6? So I need to remove the whole system?Yes. But the pipe will not be cool because of heat transfer from the engine itself.
Speculative truth, yes. Hard proof, not so much.Is there any truth to that heat being the cause of head gasket failure by cylinder 6?
Thank you. I was hoping the delete kit would make that pipe next to the harness inop and therefore not be hot other than radiant heat from the block being close.Speculative truth, yes. Hard proof, not so much.
It helps with that for sure. If you’re really worried about the HG, do everything you can to never overheat too.Thank you. I was hoping the delete kit would make that pipe next to the harness inop and therefore not be hot other than radiant heat from the block being close.
I do, but recently got the CEL for egr and want to resolve that, but just got into the weeds reading mud comments under egr removal. Never ends.It helps with that for sure. If you’re really worried about the HG, do everything you can to never overheat too.
