how do you powdercoat the underside of a tub? you have to put the thing in the oven!
"custom fitted KC daylighters" .. Hope he didnt' pay that much for that process.
I'll be honest.. The suspension will ride hard.. Webbers are a bandaid your better off with an OEM carb that will run at angle, bed liner hides much,
you looking at yet another rig? I'll go look at it with you if it's local and help you out if you need.
I don't see a "cage" I see a roll bar. it's missing the headrests. Did they upgrade the brakes? add power steering? what ignition system? stock F or upgrade to electronic from 2f? Lots of questions if you wanna drive this thing safely and comfortable.

I bet they used the cheap electro-static (or whatever) gun, and it took all day. So since I know nothing about FJ40s, is that the "freeborn red" and since this is a "restoration", was a black bezel offered? At least they got it on correctly.

And I'm sorry (and probably negative) but these "custom doors" look like they hacked up perfectly good doors (of course that's another use for the magnet). So are there custom mirrors available? And why no pictures of the passenger side?

Irregardless, I'd love to see it, and listen to the banter from those who know what the hell their looking at. IMO, it does "look" nice, I just don't like red.

I just saw the ebay posting when I was looking fo parts, and was wondering what "restoration team" I was here in KC.

Also I noticed they showed the outside of the doors, but did not show the inside, how they made the half doors. I too would like to see it.

never heard of a "restoration team" in Kc.. what's the user name on ebay? and look at their prior sales and or feedback see what they have had in the past.

That's funny because I had actually done that, and "Clearcreek87" has only bought small things from random sellers with the generic "A+++ great buyer", no previous sales or feedback for selling anything.

Only 5 hours to go! Someone needs this. Don't know what the reserve is, sure it's not bad.:hillbilly:

Roll bar

Where does the shoulder harness connect to? The does not look safe.

Shane

It looks like there is a spreader bar right behind the seats, as part of that roll bar.

I see the scull cracker now..

I saw it world of wheels Its a pretty nice truck. They where asking 34000.00 for it there. Lots of pictures of the restoration. I wish my 68 looked that good!

If this was in California, it may get the 17k

Remember, there are people that make their living doing this sort of thing. if they get 34k best of luck to them and shame on an il-informed buyer but a fool and their money soon part. Most "Club" members in any TLCA chapter are in this stuff for fun not profit. gotta remember that.

My offer stands for anyone in the club.. I'll help look over a truck your interested in buying and would prefer you come ask some of us that have had a few years of cruisers under our belts before spending a ton of cash on something like the one above. 34k for a non-stock-"restored" truck is NUTS.. and there is a huge difference in restoration and modernization/driveable clean truck.
I'm not a purist and prefer one that has been "modernized" for safety and driveability. I'd prefer nobody in our club stays with stock brakes and steering for safety sake.

Carry on.
I did look at it on ebay and did a quick search for 45's as well.. there is a place somewhere in mo selling a 45 but didn't do it quite correct. but correct is only meaning to one wanting it historically correct.

I saw that 40 at the car show at Bartle Hall a year or two ago. Thing is extremely nice. They wanted 25K for it last time i looked at it, IIRC. Obviously price has dropped
