So do you think one on the bolted type seals could have the center cut out and used like you @tahoe40/45 did? Are they the same width and length?

Yes you can cut the middle part and install it in welded type flap. Check here - Windshield Vent Gasket Replacement

Is there another source of rubber besides SOR?
