hey fellas,
does anyone know how to decode the different truck model codes as far as the international versions of these trucks?

For example, we have the 4runners and pickups here. and my 4runner has the model code RN61. truck codes are LN40, RN32 etc.

Overseas, they have the "surf" and "hilux". From what I understand they have codes such as LN60, LN61, LN65, YN60, YN63, YN65, YN67 etc..

What do these codes mean and how do they correspond to our American Vehicles? What is different on the vehicles, just drivetrains or interior layouts or what?

The difference

LN 60 , Diesel 2L 4runner full beam frount axel
LN61 Diesel 2L 4 runner Inderpent frount axel
LN65 Diesel 2L Dobble cab/Single Cab full beam axel

RN60 Petrol 4runner full beam axel.
And so on

L is 2L engine
R is the Petrol

Hope this helps.

so the sheet metal is all the same? all the body pieces are the same just the drivetrains and suspension setups are different?
