I found some tweeter covers in a stereo shop on Monday that look like they would work very well with just a little modding, and they were only $5 each! I've been meaning to take a pic and post up, but have been SUPER busy at the shop.

Thanks Foxfab anyway I just bought two new OEM tail lamp assembles for $36. each minus the rear covers, it would be cool
If somebody ......came up with repo covers and brackets for the 1963-1968 FJ40

Just keep the set for yourself, chances are you may need it.
I just bought a set of tail lamp assembles minus the covers .If you replace the assembles be sure to keep the gaskets#8 if thay are good . I saved one set of good gaskets #8 from the broken tail lamp cover it had 10 mm nut's .the outher tail lamp gaskets were dry'ed and cracked and had 11 mm nuts holding it together 
I had to reused the old gaskets#8 becouse Toyota dose not sell gaskets alone So what I did with the new assembles install into the bracket with it comes with one # 8 gasket , use the old good gaskits #8 between the bracket and the cover http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f182/Dusty66/148A-01.gif Thanks JC
Good idea thanks. I have only one of the gaskets that go with the cover. It has definately seen better days though. I too just got a new pair of taillights. Its nice to have lights that consistantly work.
Here's what I found guys. First pic shows the covers side by side. One one the right is obviously the OE one. One on the left is the speaker cover I mentioned.
FLange is a little too big to get the studs on both side of the taillight drilled onto the flange, but the center is more than big enough to accomodated the cone of the actual taillight, and at $5.00 a cover, not really too worried about cutting it up.
Sooooo, I was considering getting some black plastic to make the flange part out of, and bonding a smaller subsection of the speaker cone onto the flange.
Then a cruiserhead came into the shop, I showed him the cover, and he said he was gonna look into getting a mold made to make a few. I told him that I didn't think there would be a market for more than maybe 10 sets of these things, but he said he wanted to look into it.
Should have an answer by Tuesday.

I have a an extra tail lamp cover now, You can have it, It's the one I repaired not pretty it looks water tite ,needs some sanding it will work I 'll send to you.... Chase PM me whare to send JC
