Venable pulled the brand new windshield the p.o. on the 80 to change just the gasket, but they said it may crack in the process.

They pulled it and put it back in with new gasket no probs.

I was very impressed, b/c I told them to have another one there in case it did.

I give them Two up.

I have been out of town a week. Drove my 4Runner to the shop. Washed it.

Cranked it after the wash with Chef Lou @under_psi in da house.....and it smoked like a bitch. Blue smoke. More than my 60 at startup.

WHAT THE HELL??

3500 miles........ideas?

doesn't blue smoke mean oil....as in getting past pistons? that's not good dude

Saw this when at Lexus- you basically started it; drove short distance turned it off- correct?

Loaded cyclinders with fuel and didn't burn it off.... Then starting it after wash your rig was trying to get rid of it.

Still shouldn't do that. Even my 306k mile 100 doesn't do that. Ever.

Ok well seen it bunch and always was initial start and short drive like across road and shut off....
Kinda like shouldn't speed but it happens.

I am with Clutchee. Hell I saw what the access fuel did to my spark plug in 100.

Go start any newer sports car with high compression. A lot will smoke and it is just what happens.

Not like smoke from your 60 where actually an issue.

Don't agree with me Bomar- what do I know.....

Have you tried to replicate/recreate it? (Start, drive a short distance, turn off, restart after a break)?
