Brian, I don’t think it is early as one would think. I saw the year on it at one time but I’ve forgotten.

Those were available late 50's to late 60's. My all original 1967 fj40 from California had one on it. Very hard to find.
 
I know my 2/73 had one with the license plate matching the back. Looks like 4/76 was the change to the late style. Only have one of the late style which I bought off a member. All the other ones I have are the early style. Makes sense since mosty 40 series are pre 4/76.

I’m sure the change between the 60010 and 60011 is documented in the microfiche
 
This is definitely tech in classifieds. :lol: I have never seen one of these before.
