Anybody have an early FJ40 or FJ45 driver seat adjustable frame for sale?

Need one that looks like the square steel frame that is fastened to the bottom of this seat. Driver's side seat only.
Appreciate any help someone can give me to get me connected with one. Thanks.

Sent you a PM with info, just renewed my Silver Status so not sure if my PM is working yet or not but sent you my email address, thanks, Rick

Not sure where that picture is from but that doesn't look stock. The seat is a post 63 with pre 64 legs added to the front. The earlier style was a tube frame. Your can see the tabs on the frame for the later tool box. The tabs on the end of the legs are in the location for the earlier tool box. What style are you looking for?

I am looking for the early FJ40 style seat with the adjustable frame on the driver side. I think the same one was used in my 64 FJ45. Appears that long ago someone also changed the seats in two of my FJ25's and apparently put in later FJ40 seats. I need one that looks like the one I put in the first picture.

I would be surprized if you can find any like the one in the picture. You would have to have the legs off the earlier seat to weld on to the later seats.

That's a good point that I missed Rick. The frame in your picture has been modified. The original latching points are not the one on the pedestals but the ones on the frame itself (above your right hand index finger). Also, depending on whether you have the tall tool box or not, you may need to make some changes.

Just saying, you can probably find the basic frame, but you're going to have to make it work somehow. ;)

I wonder if this seat may have come out of an early FJ45? Is that possible?

I can't imagine someone fabricating this from an FJ40 seat so that it would fit a 1960 FJ25. While I have no idea how it came to be in it's present configuration, it does fit one of my FJ25's perfectly and I could sure use another one just like it

Thanks guys, I will have to try to find a complete and original FJ25 driver's seat, what are the odds that anyone could help with that? :)

Not sure the seat frame was different on the earlier high tool box. The brackets in the back were taller. Never compared the pedestals were shorter on the taller one.

The seats in my white FJ25 are from a 71 FJ40. On the driver's seat I moved the latching points to the right located on a extra base I had. Now you would think twice before cutting up a early seat frame to get the pedestals but years ago these were just another vehicle and cutting original stuff to make a improvement was the norm. My 68 has seats from a 74, front doors and rollbar from a 79, transmission from a 76 and a hard top from a 73 with vent windows from a 78. All items I've installed since I bought it in 74.

Bubba- thats me Mike is talkin about. Give me a few days to get out there and see what's there and I'll pm ya. I'll grab some pics while I'm there. Josh
