Lined it up top dead center on the intake stroke and stabbed the distributor.

I always add some grease under the collar gasket so when it seats correctly you will see the grease exit. This thing runs the oil pump and if it’s not fully seated you will have a dead 2F in a few minutes

Set the valves. They were pretty close but loose

New clutch master. The tube end was flared out so I had to add a new one.

Added a TEQ Matt water pipe and the sniper sensor into the block.

Passenger side. Fuel pump cover installed. New filter. New distributor. New PCV and gasket.

New heater valve

Huge pile to burn in my pit

One of my major pet peeves is when a dip**** painter paints the back of the frame body color. Totally gross.

Fixing that while the bumperettes are away getting powdered

Did someone find metric galvanized pipe caps or are the threads sae on the smog tips ?
No idea. I’ve seen them used for desmog in the past.

Had to spend the day tuning myself and Red to the doctor. Me because I’m old. Her to keep her looking 35.

I broke free at 2 and beelined to Brookhaven for wheels and caps. Long gone are $100 wheels and $20 caps. A set of 5 is $1100 with caps now.

I dropped them after hours at Powder Keg. Hope to have them ready Tuesday or Wednesday.

They had a few items ready for he and I grabbed them.

I leave in the AM to deliver a 100 and pick up an 80 in New Hampshire. 1500 miles each way.

I’ll get back on this guy Tuesday.

Trying out some Terrain Tamer hoses. They needed a little trim. $75 for hoses and clamps.

New OEM battery tray

I had a nice reman OEM alternator. His looked like hammered ass.

I reused the original radiator. It’s in perfect shape. It one of those extra heavy ones

Added the CR booster and bench bled the 80 series booster only to realize I forgot to order the Wilwood proportion valve.

This one is taking shape.

Looks like you are installing the new and shiny old parts to the under-hood patina?

I like that look. It is so easy to over restore these things and they can go from looking like a proper, useful adventure seeking tool to a street rod in no time!

Yep. That’s what I prefer too. Heavy clean. Treat rust. Add shiny new parts galore.

Cut out the old exhaust and got the new SOR header and intake in place. Added the Sniper using the Mosley kit of course. I think I’ll call it a night
