Does anyone know when Toyota went from F to the F .5? I have a 3/73 that still has the F motor but I have seen 73's with the .5 too.

Real simple, F head doesn't have bolt holes at each end like 2F and later engines have. In other words, you can't bolt a header onto an F engine. What is the difference in a nutshell in these?
Can anybody identify this engine. It is a 1973 Costa Rican fj40 but it has four speed transmission
