New owner of a single-owner, unmolested 2001 GCC spec LC 100. It needs a lot of parts replacement. It wasn't horribly maintained, but lots of small stuff that broke over the years.

What I can't seem to find online is a local place that sells OEM parts directly. Both Partsouk and Amayama say they don't sell locally (I assume because they are in a trade zone).

Does anybody have a go-to place in Dubai that stocks and sells OEM parts?

Pretty sure the local Toyota store will sell you all the parts you could ever want in Dubai.

Be careful though, they charge different prices based on how well you speak Arabic.

Yeah, I'm seeing that. Fortunately, I have a middleman I am using at least initially.

Dude... go to Sharjah... there are streets full of OEM Toyota parts stores.
it's basically the first industrial area east of you when you head north into Sharjah from the DXB airport.

Take an arabic or urdu speaker with you. They are mostly Pakistanis operating those shops.

That's my middleman :)

Well if your local middle man can't help you, you might try going to the Toyota dealer. Al-Futtaim is a big one.

Alternatively.... go to a dune bashing spot.... find a group of 100s or 200s and make some local friends.

Hi @asmara, congrats on the new purchase.

Perhaps you could list a few of the parts you are needing?

I spent years searching for used parts and recently I just don't do it any more. Especially with a 100 series where most items are available new OEM.

Per local law the local franchisee can, under certain circumstances, maintain a monopoly on parts distribution in the country. In this case that would be Al Futtaim. Search Al Futtaim Tradepoint and you can buy direct. They are not the easiest or the cheapest, but sometimes when I get frustrated I go directly to them. PartSouq et al. legally cannot sell you parts as a UAE resident. And all the local parts stores get their parts either from Al Futtaim Tradepoint or their equivalent in Oman. Be prepared for 2-3 days delay for parts coming from Oman. For whatever reason a lot of the parts I need seem to come from Oman. I suspect, but don't know, that Omanis keep their trucks going longer.

There is one 100-series specific salvage guy I know near the Sharjah Cemetary, but he does not speak much English. But English is the only language that we partially have in common, so we make do. So if you need body parts or something big, that would be an option. He parts out a lot of bad US 100 series trucks, so depending on what you are looking for he is either very relevant or not at all.

Currently I like New Best Auto Parts in Dubai Investment Park 2. They will work with you on getting new OEM and they are fairly patient.

But you will need to be armed with the appropriate part numbers.

So have a look at toyodiy, amayama and megazip, enter your VIN and you can search down for the parts you need to get the part numbers.

Oh, and get on Whatsapp and on one of the local LC groups. Almost uniformly a friendly place.

Awesome. Thanks for all the info. Mostly, what I want to be able to do is get more minor stuff on my own. Plastic clips, OEM bolts etc. I've been using a VPN to use PartSouq's part number look up. Anything used, I think my current guy would be better getting. Thanks again. I'll try your shop and get on the group.

I use PartSouq only to verify the visual appearance of parts to confirm part numbers. They seem to have the best photos. Otherwise I stick with Amayama or Megazip.

Best Parts are not that good on the phone. Slightly better on Whatsapp but slow. Suggest you visit with part numbers you need written down and give it to them.

I ended up going with @John Young's recommendation - New Best Auto Parts. They are a large chain with multiple locations easily identified on Google Maps. There is one reasonably close to me, so I went there, placed the order, and they had it for me the next day. Also gave me their WhatsApp contact and told me that I could send them my order in the future, and pay when I pick it up. Oddly, I initially interacted with the location John uses. When I realized that there was a closer branch, I figured I'd try my luck there. Pricing between the two branches differed slightly. Sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less but nothing substantial. Also, the one closer to me was able to locate a part that John's said was unavailable.

edit: One other tip. Don't buy Toyota Cabin Air Filters. I'm doing the Cabin Air Filter conversion and just realized how much Toyota ones cost. While I'm OEM all the way, this is one place I'm going aftermarket in the future.

Did the run to the used parts area in Sharjah. I used this location 8C79+WVX - Industrial Area 6 - Industrial Area - Sharjah - United Arab Emirates. Oddly, Google shows it as "Australia Plaster & Tiles Cont LLC." When you look at the map, you will see another shop "Land Cruiser, Lexus 570 & Prado used spare parts" nearby.

Edit: Found an easier way to input the location: Bab Al Marsa Supermarket. It is directly across the street.

The whole street is Land Cruiser parts. I don't speak the language but their English was good enough. The prices were pretty cheap (using what I have seen on FB Market place as a baseline half or less). This guy was super helpful (Ibrahim whatsapp 50-209-7932) and shop location is above. There was another guy a couple of doors down that only strips Lexus' most of which he sends to former soviet republics. The latter guy was the one who gave the LX470 Body ECU to try out even though it didn't match (it worked).

Thanks for this. I was unaware that there were LC parts guys there. Oddly, the 100 series only guy I have known for years is only a few blocks away:

Down at the end of this alley:

Found another UAE source - Online and delivers. They had an obscure OEM part (shift boot) two other physical stores said were not available. Prices are displayed and seem about the same as the physical stores. They look like a supply aggregator of some type. I was looking at pricing for a more common part and they also provide alternatives that are significantly cheaper.

Update - I really like this service. They seem to have every part, including screws and bolts. Although delivery is often cited as 7-14 days on some orders, I always seem to get it within 5 days. So far all the parts appear to be original OEM and fit as such.

I found another LC100 parts place (after my main place sent me there to get a reproduction fan shroud). I think this is where my guy must have started working before he went out on his own. Anyway, big shop with tons of used parts and some new reproduction parts as well.
Al Hesar Used Cars and Auto Spare Parts
The owner (Numan) has 3 shops but for LC100s this is the big one (and it is pretty easy to get to which is really nice).
edit: apparently they have an instagram account: @habibullah_111 - Also found out that the guys at Shabab Al Doha (@shabab_aldoha7) buy their stuff from him. Those guys have a million times better instagram account so watch that one and if you see something you want, head to Al Hesar. To be fair, Shabab Al Doha installs stuff. Al Hesar does not.
