here is my current project
i have used a 2008 vdj76x wagon and grafted a standard 79x rear panel into the rear to keep it as factory looking as possible.
the chassis has been lengthen by 700mm, this shall give me a bit longer wheel base than a stock 79x ute.
the tray size shall be just under 7 foot long.

has v8 diesel, 5 speed h151, part time transfer.
will get ome suspension
arb bar work, full cab re spray and custom tray.
lastly a custom built long ranger fuel tank.
will be ready in a few months
will update as we go along cab 004.webp

You guys have a 7x series heaven there judging by the background rigs.

Epic.

Yeah ,they are stinking the whole place up,darned things.

:flipoff2:

the wheel base is not much longer than a standard 79x cab chassis, the 76x has a shorter chassis to begin with, so not real long.

as for 70x heaven sometimes i wonder, u get a collection then move them on and start again,
nearly at that stage now, time to move a few on and start again :)

yeah I reckon you're right....its probably only 350mm or so longer than a 79. I just stretched an 80 series 350mm to accommodate a 79 series cab and style side. 80 and 76 series are about the same

any of those 70 series of age to come across the pond?

Dig the gov't orange 45...whats the plan for it?

hi swamprunner
the damaged 75x ia a 1998 i can send that over the pond as parts vehicle.
the 47x is a ex gov fire truck, that is for sale also.
there are a few 79x vehicles as parts
we can source almost any vehicle u need and assist with shipping.
happy to help where we can

Is that ex rural fire service HJ 47 advertised on carsales with a styleside on it?

from my normal judgemental view ...:hhmm:

damn nice job so far, congrats.:bounce:
that is exactly what i want to do with a 78 for my 4 door pickup build, now that i see it in real life ... i love it.:steer:

curious, what is the final purpose of the vehicle? i was thinking a bit longer wheel base yet with a 7' bed on the back.:hhmm:

hi wayne
final purpose of the vehicle is to have a landcruiser dual cab i can put staff in and use for work, and also have a weekend vehicle i can chuck the kids into with the bikes/dogs on the back and go away and still tow the camper trailer if need be.
waiting on some funds to complete. once i am back into it i shall keep pics up to date
