What: Drive your pick of our FJ45s down to Lake Tahoe for the 6th Annual FJ45 Run at deer valley.

When: Labor Day weekend (September 1st – 3rd)

Who: The Bullington Clan and some lucky bastards.

Where: Deer Valley California http://www.californiajeeper.com/deerval/review.htm#Location

Details: We have 3 road worthy vehicles we would like to have present at the 6th annual FJ45 run. Only problem is that we don’t have enough drivers to take them all down. This is where you will fit in. You will have your pick of the litter to either drive our

The FJ45 run is a family event where not only FJ45s attend, but any land cruiser aficionado can attend. To sweeten the pot there are no fees for attending. It is pretty low key with people leading trail runs throughout the weekend. There is also a raffle the last evening with several people winning 3 times over. There is only tent camping at the site so please take this into consideration.

The idea is to leave Seattle Washington and head south through Bend Oregon. Then down through Klammath Falls Oregon through Reno Nevada and coming up to Deer Valley from the east.

Let me know if you are interested in going and we can talk further. Don’t wait too long as it will be here quicker than you can think. The basic idea is you get to take a 45 to the 45 run!

Here are some pics and details from last year.

I guess you wern't kidding about working on your FJ Fleet after jumping Billy G's good ship lollypop.
I am interested, and will follow up later (soon).
I assume that Kelly is going to drive with you?

That would be a tough decision! I'd love to drive the LPB because it looks like mine, only nicer. And I'd love to drive the troopie, because I really want one. And I'd love to drive the LV; I bet you get some strange looks from people when you're in that one. Too bad I'm in New Mex and won't be making the 45 run yet.

Not to hijack, but my '67 LPB has different taillights than yours--amber turns on the outside, red stop/tail on the inside. I bought the lenses from Toyota for $6 each back in '99 when I bought the truck. Any idea what/when/why the difference?

OH MY GAWD! I'm pretty sure I have already dreamed about driving your '67 45 LPB (or maybe it was one just like it). I would love to help...but I live south of you, in Bend, OR. Hmmm...thinking.

If you are serious we could probably pick you up and you can share driving duties down.

My rear tail lights are not stock. Stout maybe?

Howdy Bull,

I have checked with the 'ol lady and have her approval. I am looking at my work schedule and I may just actually be able to go. Since I am way down in Bend and if that does not work for you optimally I will understand. We can certainly discuss this more. I will keep you posted. Feel free to pm me if you prefer. Oh yeah, 3 spd on the tree, no problem. :)

Thanks, Carlos.
