I think there's a thing where if you enter from the quick reply and a number of posts have occurred since your last page refresh, then you get the double post/wait 30 seconds problem.

Fxxxer did that again when I posted that.

FWIW, I'm getting a "confirm form resubmission" message when I try to go "back" in my browser from the "wait 30 seconds" page that occurs when I hit the doublepost phenom. That double post occured after I clicked okay on the confirm form resubmission.

Reporting all this to the report page.

Some great observations by the way, it is only happening in quick reply, which means it's an ajax related issue and it's only appears to be happening on larger threads.

I have made an initial configuration change just to see if that fixes the issue, however, I suspect it wont be that simple. So, any time you see it happen, reference it here so I can debug it in the logs.

Okay that's interesting, I will kick my browser into debug mode and see if I can gather some more data this evening when TUT traffic builds and I can easily test the repro case I think I might have above.

I've only had it happen in TUT and I never get the 30-second delay message, as I'm a moderator. It just double posts for me. It never happens for me using my iPad or iPhone with Safari or using the mud app. It only happens when I post on my computers. This last time if was with my new iMac. Previously, it has been with my MacBookAir--always with firefox.
