Door mirrors available new???

Is the rumor that the right and left mirrors are available new true? If so what is the part number. I tried to order them here at the dealer in Guatemala but they did not have that style on '55's here (they said that style was only Australia which we all know is not true). The dealer says they are not available. If I have a part number I'm sure I'll get a more definite answer one way or the other if I have a number.

Anyone have a set without the crack along the base that they are willing to trade for other '55 stuff?

Cash or trade? I should have some decent rear reflectors for the older piggys. I found the correct ones (two screws) for my '76 so I'll be swapping out the one older one for the right one. I may have an older fender mount turn signal too in OK shape or???

Hope they are still available for you. Can't recall the price I got them for but thought is was less than $75 a piece. Thinking maybe $63 each but that is a guess and my memory is very bad.

I picked one up from the wreckers today. It's not perfect but it's not bad. A skim coat of bondo (1/16" or less) will take out the very slight dent in it.

I've got both mirrors but they are both cracking at the base. The cracks are about 1" long right now and they will only get worse. Even the spare that I got off the board here has a crack in the same spot. Any mirrors I get MUST be free of cracks.

Here is a pic of the mirror and the resevoir. Oh ya, I have a 74 piggy. The wash res was the same for 40s of those years. Thinking of anything else I need. Bought my mirror new from M-A-F $ 75 I think. Sure would like one of your gears but don't need. Res + gear maybe owe you $? Maybe res + D. door latch? What do you think?
