We call our old boy "Camel Bladder". Never even in a rush to go outside in the morning, course it'll just about lift the paint off your car if he goes near it.

The little ones , not so much. The blonde halfwit routinely forgets to pee when she's outside and needs to go back out a little while later.

I assume this is because she's from alberta and the shallow end of the gene pool.

Usually does her business with a tennis ball in her mouth, that's our go to shake somethin' loose method.

When I was dog sitting a Chihuahua for 10 days while it’s owners went to Japan, it didn’t go 2 for two and a half days. She was stubborn as heck and wouldn’t go if she felt stressed. After that point, she warmed up to me.
When they came back she wanted to stay with me. She had no interest in going home with her owners who’d abandoned her for two weeks.

And baby makes 3 😉

"I ran over 5 Miles today"
Now I'm looking for a new dog.

I'll preface with this was not one of our dogs, but our youngest is an idiot that eats everything, so I could see it happening.
She is getting better now that she's getting used to living outside a cage. (Previous owners 🤬)

Anyways, watch out for sh!tflowers in your yards.

We ended up getting a Recovery Vest. It worked really well for the belly.

I picked it up for $25 and it was so worth it. Our dog would have either not moved or demolished the house with a cone. Really stubborn and too smart for her own good.

I’m giving away the cone of shame we have that’s about that size. She would get hung up on things and not move… just expect it to somehow change. We decided it would be worse with a larger one… not better.

In this case, the little s*** really just needed a bit of shame for 15 minutes. Vest wouldn't help. Our dogs are all fine with the cones :meh:

I just found her ongoing attempt at guilt tripping me hilarious.

The old boy has a bigass growth near his armpit that he managed to split, and it got infected, and she wouldn't leave it alone, so the cone was an "enough already" .

She seems to have got the message. She's not stupid. If the big guy doesn't finish his food, she'll walk past his bowl, but won't even look at it. Tries to do the side eye, because she knows she'll get in s***

Big guy gets some bloodwork on monday, and if his kidneys are still up to it, the vet will snip it off, because it isn't really attached by much.

He's pretty old to be having a procedure, even a minor one, and it's likely this is his last summer, but it's worth the risk we think.

It'd be a no brainer if he was younger, a few stitches vs an infected lump.

Stubborn old coot might live for years yet, just to piss us off. Already been around for a third of my life, and I ain't that young.

Tough few months after loosing two of my guys, Jazzy and our 8 year old rescue with some medical issues. My son found him on his side gasping for air in the back yard, he was a very special little guy. Dotty has been out of sorts and it seemed like she is depressed, so I was told we have another mixed puppy coming our way in a month or so.. Been looking at the spca but nothing that matched our family jumped out at us.

I've heard the Shelters in these parts are closing their doors to larger COVID dogs. There have been very few smaller dogs... or so I've heard from another friend who's also looking for a smaller critter.

Is Wooly a doodle dog? If so, poodle and what?

Yup, she's a labra-doodle. Name is actually Pepper, but someone here called her Wooly, and it sort of stuck as seemed appropriate, haha.
