He knows "sit," "down," "shake," "crate," and "stay." And I'm training him not to eat until I tell him to.

Dude - you taught him shake? You will probably regret that. You'll be sitting on your couch or laying down, and he will want attention. He will come up to you, and "shake", raking his claws across your legs or face. My Rott used to kill me with that. He would sit in front of me, and if I quit petting him, he would put that big assed paw up on me until I resumed.
