distributor model fit

As a starting point, here's a good resource for oem distributor history and other info -https://globalsoftware-inc.com/coolerman/fj40/wiringmainframe.htm
And there are quite a few used or aftermarket options as well.
I'm sure someone here can offer suggestions.

I've got a 1976 2F 080776 engine
is there a chart that shows which distributor models will fit??
I don't know of a chart, but I think that any 6 cylinder LandCruiser dizzy from very early '60s to the FJ60 series will fit in your block. Some are better than others but they'll all fit.

Lots of variables like vacuum advance/retard and big cap ones need the dented valve cover side plate to fit.

My 72 came with a delco straight mechanical advance back in 82. It was getting a lot of wobble so I bought the Amoron chineesium delco for $120. Swapped the drive gear and the sealing o-ring and stabbed in. Used my old cap, points , condenser and good wires -all fit correctly. Runs great again. I think this engine is a 2F
