Man I hope these come without need ANY welding as I don't own on. Plus I've never actually welded before.

He isn't selling DIY kits to the general public, only fully assembled bumpers. Myself and a couple of others who got DIY front bumpers have the option of an unwelded rear.

Yes, no more DIY kits.
The rear would be quite a daunting task for a beginner!
Unlike the front there is far more exposed welds so i may do a partial DIY kit to the guys that already bought the front DIY.
This way I can weld the exposed welds and the cust can do the rest.

I couldn't find the answer, but do you have front bumpers ready to ship or are you making them on a per order basis?

Due to the custom nature of the front they are made to order.
Sorry.

I want that extra tube on mine too! looks awesome. I've wanted something like that all along, but since it wasn't offered I was going to have it done after.

Ok guys, I'm happy to anounce the the relese of the rear bumper with drivers side tire swingout and hi-lift mount. There will be many more options in the future.
After crunching numbers I have come up with a price,
The price for the complete modular bumper with tire carrier and hi-lift mount including all hardware and led license plate lights is going to run $2400 uncoated.
This may seam high but please keep in mind the time and materials in the bumper cost about double what a traditional one piece bumper with traditional swingouts so my profit is actually less.
I will update and get a detailed price list and description in the next few days. I will also have pics of it powder coated and mounted in a week or so.

I am still waiting on some emails so if your in the list and have not sent me your info please email me your contact and shipping info along with you forum name and the number you are on the list and I will give you a call to confirm options. Bencalhoon86@gmail.com

The first ten on the list can expect a call soon.
Thanks again for the support and I'm excited to see these bumpers on your rigs.

Happy happy happy clap!

Holly shnikeys! Not for the faint hearted... Lol

Ben will I need to wait until you've welded the first ten to get my unwelded kit, or would you have it cut and bent at the same time as the others?

Crap. I was thinking we were going to get double swingouts for that price. Will we get a price on what the accessories (second swingout) will cost?
I wish I could but that is the typical cost of other double swingouts and this bumper is much more involved!
If you look into pricing on others you will see I'm not that far off of there price. In the end it will be $200-300 more for a dual swingout bumper than some competition but you are getting much more for the money IMO.
There is actually less profit on these than the fronts due to hardware and materials cost/ and laser time.

Like I said, it may seem high but as you look into other prices and what your getting I'm not far off at all. the others sell for close to same price and they are as simple as can be.

It will be cut at the same time but it still takes a good bit of time to put together a kit a package it up.

I don't have any doubts that the cost of this is due to it's complexity and beauty and that there is zero price gouging and benc does great work. Having said that can anyone give me any clue as to how much more it would cost to powder coat this? I've never had anything powdercoated so I have no clue.

That seems very reasonable IMO as well. Those who think it's a little high, honestly what did you expect? Just think about how much time, effort, and revisions when into it for a minute. This thread was started at the beginning of the year so lets just assume 5mon of R&D (I'm sure it was more but I'm just going by the start date of this thread). Plus laser cutting time as Ben stated about, that is NOT cheap stuff. He has made a couple versions, revised their designs, added/subtracted components, and spent a long time deciding what hardware will not only work the best but also be the most durable and continue to function 5yrs from now. Materials alone seem to be a huge chunk of the total cost. And then consider the amount of labor that goes into welding every puzzle piece of this bumper together absolutely perfect with welds that should be in a museum because they're true artwork. This bumper looks absolutely amazing, perfectly balances aesthetics with functionality, and once again sets the bar for all rear bumpers. Great job Ben! One day I will have one of yours on my truck:cheers:

I will know soon what the powder will cost.

One thing I'm going to try and do is offer the second swingout at a highly discounted price! I'm not sure on the details yet but it will make the dual swingout bumper competitive.

Thanks man!
I really do appreciate it.
It would have been much easier
For me to stick with the traditional design and probably more profitable but that's just not The name I want to set for dissent offroad. I don't want to look at others bumpers and build what I can get away with, I want my bumpers to be in a league of there own and be the bumper that sets the bar for others.
I think the problem with the 100 series market is there has been a lack of companies offering after market products so compatition has been limited, there has been no pressure for vendors to constantly make there product better because there is no need to. I hope I can change that with my products! Don't get me wrong, the products that are curently offered for the 100 series are top notch but but I think it's time to start bringing some of the innovation you see in other vehicle makes into the land cruiser platform.

The style and functionality definitely set the bar. it is no doubt a peice of artistic fab work. I'm just hoping to not spend more than 3k on a dual swingout. That seems to be slipping away when you consider shipping.

I'm curious too on how much shipping and powder coat will add to the total price, it may fall outside my budget. I'd hate to rattle can this beauty lol!

The price is about what I'd expect. This design isn't just a bunch of plates welded up. All the material cost and the laser cutting/bending, the R&D time, all that fitting and burning time, and all the hardware cost really add up quickly.

Will a passenger side tire carrier/swingout be an option? I have a slight driver side lean that I'd like to compensate for ;)
