Ben you have any detail on how the modular setup will bolt together yet?
Yes, first the brackets get bolted to the frame, then you will bolt the grill guard/stinger to the center section. ( this will make an easy spot to grab ahold when installing the center. ) once you slide the center section into place there are 2 allen head bolts per side. These bolts will align the center section on the brackets. Once those are installed the wings can be installed. The wings will lift into place and the slide over the head of the alignment bolts. Then insert the 2 bolts through the grill guard plate into the wings, this will hold the wings in place while the caps are installed, install the caps and tighten all bolts.

I know it sounds complicated but it really isn't, once the brackets are installed it only should take about a 1/2 hour to install the winch and assemble the bumper.

Some pics of the bumper ready for powder with the caps installed.

That bull bar gives the LC an evil look in a good sort of way. Are those slots in the top of center section for light mounts?

Haha , yeah I'm kind of liking the lx bar on the LC. And yes, the slots are for lights

What is the part in the first pic? Almost looks like a diff drop, but not quite.

I like that bar on the LC! It really looks cool!
Again, the beauty of modular vs one single piece, after some time I can just swap them if I want to!
Awesome!

Ben you've done a great job with this. I hope you move the snot out of these and can enjoy the fruits of your labor!

will you be posting a write up on here with pics or include a write up with pics in the box for the DIY kit? I'm sure I could figure it out, but a "how-to" included with the purchase would allow me to be a little more mindless and relaxed in my build.

I will be when I get time. Right now I'm trying to get them shipped. I would like to get instructions printed but that would likely set be back a couple weeks.
I will try and do an assembly write up ASAP

Are any of these parts in CAD? I could make a ballooned/labeled explosion for you in CAD. I could also make a video in CAD showing where and how all the parts fit together. It would also be very easy to make high quality pics of all the parts in CAD.

I had thought of the same thing. I'm not going DIY, but I've got solid works (albeit 2010) and used to do weldment and assembly drawings in my earlier career.

I have Autodesk Inventor 2015 and it allows me to work in sheet metal mode and use a welding tool if needed. I could also do structural testing on the bumper if desired.

I know I mentioned coming up to Kings Canyon this summer with hopes that you would be close so I could pick up a bumper but that didn't work out. How far are you from Sacramento? I will be up in Sacramento on the 16th of May speaking at a college. I should have a rental car and might be able to swing by if it's not too far.

He should be about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs depending on trafic!
