Yea it looks way better than slees imho... Honestly I don't even like the look of slees, it needs another angle Going around the corner, to me looks like someone attempt to follow the lines that required further refinement

Here it is primed painted and cleared...
I went with painting myself vs powder coating for these reasons, although I would have liked pcoat it:
1) I don't have the extra coin at the moment
2) I'm going to scrape and bash off the powder coat either way and since it is so easy to disassemble, it will be easy for me to touch it up or repaint as needed...
3) It was bare metal and there may be a little rain in the forecast next week and I couldn't allow myself to see it get rusty at all
That said I think the powder coat would be a really good idea for a lot of people!!
I chose duplicolor Toyota match silver to try and match the silver trim on my lx. Came out really good for a shoo shoo can job, the clear really helped with a finished look and blended the shoo shoo overspray lines.

The five small amber led buttons on each side are my blinkers!
Here ya go! 4 bolts each side. Plenty strong for its intended purpose imho. In fact I think the entire bumper is plenty strong with the material used. Any stronger and the frame of the truck would buckle in crumple zones way before the bumper. There is a such thing as overbuilt, and weight vs strength required I think Ben nailed it. Unless your planning on doing some ultra 4 racing I think it's g2g.

It will be flush with the caps that go over the tow points.
So for the DIY bumper the parts are already bent? Its just bolt on the center section section and tack up the wings, pull it and weld it up?

Yep, and most pieces have alignment tabs and slots. Should only take a day for a novice welder.
