The Dissent front bumper doesn’t look that great on the 200. To me, it’s a boring design and doesn’t blend well with the front. Rhino, TJM are much better looking. Just seems like a waste of money to put this little bumper on the front and the stock front end looks better. The rear bumper offering is much better design wise. They have a terrible website as well. It doesn’t take much effort to higher a web designer. Plenty out of work right now.
Wow...

I think it’s my American freedom to post my opinion.I think its a little rude to just come into a thread unprovoked firing like this, and it has nothing to do with you thinking the bumper I put on my vehicle doesn't look good, even though I greatly disagree.

As with everything, its design has its trade offs. But in terms of a low profile, light weight bumper that provides great clearance and a place to mount a winch, I think its a great solution.
At the end of the day, its a custom job. Custom jobs require a phone call. Ben is one of the easiest people to work with, all you gotta do is pick up the phone.
I think it’s my American freedom to post my opinion.I wasn’t trying to be rude, I just like to be a little more unique and not follow what everyone else is doing. I didn’t even see your photo previously or paid any attention who started the tread. If you like the outcome of the bumper, that’s great. Who cares what I think, it’s just my opinion. Personally, the bumper design looks small (toothpick style) and lazy on the 200. Why couldn’t it have been a full bumper replacement or at least deviate a little as It’s pretty much the same bumper for the Tacoma and 4Runner. How long as this design been around?

The goal there is to improve approach angle. It is the same reason that you can remove the outer bumpers on the Wrangler. If that is not important to you, then perhaps you would prefer a different bumper.I have to agree. Why do I see the whole suspension and undercarriage underneath? That’s not a bumper. Why not just remove the bumper all together and mount a winch shelf with a winch to the frame and be done.

I always laugh when people use that line “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Not sure anyone really believes that, otherwise we’d be all using land lines and watching tv in black and white. While your first sentence barely warrants a response, I think the latter is almost contradictory. The bumper is different. If you want hoops, steel, full replacement, etc, all of those are on offer from other fabricators. So why be a me too product? I don't see many low profile, light weight, aluminum bumpers on offer for the 200. If they are out there, would love to see them.
Don't think they have made a bumper for 4runners. Seen a couple on tacomas. Same design as the 100's (this is where the bulk of them are seen). Sure. If it aint broke, don't fix it.If you like the bumper, kudos. It just doesn’t look good to me on a 200.
Buy a GWagon or wrangler if your goal is approach angles. The 200 is not meant to be a rock crawler and once you clear the front approach, the rear is going to drag with its long overhang. The 200 is for over-landing and safety to the malls with family. I remember a few years ago having this exact conversation with Christo when he was doing work on my ‘14 200. He agreedThe goal there is to improve approach angle. It is the same reason that you can remove the outer bumpers on the Wrangler.
