Just keep in mind that just about every lift kit out there is going to net you more than the advertised amount.
Spend some time in the compiled 80 series Suspension thread in the stickies.
Lots of info there.

There are a few different stock coils, and they are color coded. Somewhere on here, thought it was in a build thread, that had them side by side with measurements and actual specs. Ill dig around and see if I can find it...

Exactly my thoughts on the weight additions. I believe the ordinal lx springs are on it. Tire to fender spacing seems close to even all the way around. The cruiser was used by an old lady to wagon around her grandkids, and the wear and tear does resemble it.

What do you think about mixing “soft” front 2 in springs and “medium” 2in springs in the rear for a possible small teardrop trailer towed? The trailer would be as light as possible and counterbalanced to the hitch?

Just playing around with ideas for the future.
Soft front with additional capacity in the rear, that's how mine is pretty much setup. It's not really "soft" but does ride smooth since the coils are progressive. When I'm empty the rear does ride a bit higher, but it levels out nicely with a few hundred pounds of stuff back there.

I went with Dobinsons, from exit offroad here on the forum. I'd have to check but my rear springs are setup for around +220lbs and the front is around +110lbs.

The only negative with the extra height was my dog not being able to make the tailgate jump anymore. First try she cased the landing and now I pick her up.

Cool! Glad you understood what I was thinking.

Thanks for the info. It will be very helpful.

The stock height on the 80 is perfect height for a bench. A little higher and its like a kitchen counter.

Ouch! Poor pup. Dogs learn fast and hard.

Secondary benefit of a 2" lift is having a little more clearance under the Cruiser while draining the oil. I ran stock height for years, first OEM springs, then went with OME stock height, now have 2" lift with 285s. This works just right for my purposes.

I love 4x4’s for this reason as well!

O2 sensors were delivered today.
Maybe I will have time tomorrow afternoon to pop them in. I should soak the bolts now.

Wife’s Sequoia shocks are delivered too. I have ball joints I need to put in that I have been putting off. Apparently they have been know to break causing catastrophic damage. Maybe they were recalled back in the day but I think they should be changed and then an alignment done. This all needs to come together before the end of this coming week to get prepared for the last helmet trip for my baby daughter. That plus all the customer jobs popping up and I’m quickly running out of tim, but thank goodness not energy.

Whats the latest?
