Yes, confirmed by our awesome, resident expert, John at ATEB. It's done and garbage. F%&k
So unless someone has an older style 2LT head for me, or a complete, newer one (the valves and cam and rockers are all different), then this build is done. Oh, and I am not spending $1500-2000 on the stupid head.
Looks like I'm selling the nicely rebuilt injector pump and a couple other goodies I have acquired over the course of this BS failure of a build.
You'll shortly see a bunch of 2L parts on craigs.

On a side note, I still have a 22R engine that runs like s*** that needs replacing before it dies and I'm totally without a truck. a diesel would be nice but at this rate I doubt I'll have an easy install.
Yes, I could take the 3B out of the blue truck, with large blowby, 570,000kms on it and install it into the pick up, spend tons more time on it, have to make new engine mounts, new transmission mounts, new driveshafts, and likely have the engine slowly die on me because let's face it, it's old and she's been pushed hard. But that is not going to be a weekend swap.
So I'm open to useful suggestions that don't involve $3000, and essentially rebuilding everything to make it work.
