The old tie rod ends have had enough. One of the rods was bent, so it is all being replaced.

Nice! Can you highlight where to trim later on to accomodate the larger birfs ....ive read its
Just minimal trimming but never was pointed out where to trim.

-A

Pls do show where the trimming on the 40 axle housing needs to be done to fit the 60 birfs.

Nice work.

Just a lil off the top and a lil more off the bottom. Make sure the birf slides in straight and doesn’t have to be angled. Once the knuckle is back on, you can only put it in straight due to the constraint of the knuckle housing being in place.

New 3rd gaskets before the axles go back in. The rear pinion is a lil loose so a 62 third will be taking its place. This requires a multiflange to utilize my existing rear drive shaft. One call to @cruiseroutfit and its one the way.

Pulling the diff is the easy part. Scrubbing the old gaskets off always seems to take the most effort. I keep thinking “no leaks” as I scrap away the old cork and paper. Well worth the effort.

Awesome! The perfect size!

You'll love the KM3's, I've had a set now for nearly 24 months with fantastic results and wear.

Love the lighting! Those shoes look awesome. I'm definitely going with MTs next.

Eagerly watching this refresh. I’m getting ready to order a Aqualu 3/4 tub next month. Other than they don’t look stock inside, I’ve never heard a bad thing about them. I held onto my trans hump to see if I can modify it to fit because I’m not a fan of how the aluminum one looks.

Any chance you could post detailed photos of how the tub was joined to the cowl?
