Nice FJ40, and congrats on the purchase. Another vote for stock steel wheels with hubcaps to accentuate the other chrome accessories.

This is what is referred to as a “body shop restoration”. She’s a looker, but needs some help on the mechanical side. Although the truck runs great, it’s about to get another make over.

For starters:

81+ Disk brake conversion
Ome suspension
Reseal motor
Reseal trans
Reseal Xfer
Replace electrical fuel pump
Install Oem carb and air cleaner
Replace motor mounts
Replace tie rod ends
Connect heater
Clean up rewire

Combine that with my rig and it’d be awesome. ;) although my front axle is overdue for some more love :D

Great looking rig... once the mechanical is caught up it’ll be sweet.

These are the wheels you need to run on the 40

Hahaha. NOPE!

I’ve sold every set I’ve had on Craigslist relatively quickly.

man, one hell of a friend to send you a text like that, i mean you can't just find friends like that anywhere these days. That guy really deserves

that kind of stuff never ceases to amaze me: countless hours spent on this project and they neglect the simplest failure points

Im from western canada so i have a few friends who have built full aqualu cruisers and they were not cheap to do.
