I believe that the link I just posted works
Hope that helps.

The link worked but it said on Amazon that it's not compatible for a 1997 Lexus LX450. Is that the year of Lexus you own? I'll but it if it works!

I have a LandCruiser. What does your security module look like?

I am the new owner of a 97 FZJ80. I was only given a single key, no remote. The dash has the Toyota Security module with LED indicator and microphone. I however do not see a black box under the driver's seat and only see a wiring harness for the power seat controls. Are there other spots the security box could be? If not and I am missing the box and there isn't a wiring harness for it, how hard is it to install the system myself?

I'm hoping others might have input on this.

I ordered this fob Replacement for 1991-1997 Toyota Land Cruiser Key Fob Keyless Entry Car Remote | eBay which says it's "black" in the description. After going through the reprogramming steps (car to "ON", press green button, see red indicator, press fob button, turn off car) the fob only arms and disarms the alarm system, and does not lock or unlock the doors at all. Do I have the wrong fob?

This is for my 40th anniversary 80.

I should also add, I had a fully operating remote, but lost that set of keys.

Did/does it work with other remote(s)?

Just picked up a LX450 last weekend and it only came with 1 original remote. I just bought 2 of these off of Amazon: Amazon product ASIN B013TGJM2IQualityKeylessPlus Replacement Clone For Lexus FCC BAB237131-032 Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob

You have to make sure that the code on the back BABXXX matches the fob you purchase. It worked even better then the original, it works from a reasonable distance now. I even programmed multiple buttons so the lock or unlock on the fob work.
I downloaded the RS3000 manual and programmed it to my liking. Reinstated the chirp and turned off the passive alarm.

FWIW I always assumed I had an RS3000 but turns out I had a TVSS. Best to unbolt the seat and take a look at the alarm module before anyone starts buying replacement remotes. Just unbolt all 4 corners and tip the seat back, easy to dig around under the carpet if that's where the installer placed it.

The key fob that has been reported as the 'official' Toyota replacement (pictured in @GOTLOCKED96 's post below, and mine linked above) worked perfectly, I got mine from McGeorge Toyota. I tried a few aftermarket remotes, none of them worked but this one worked with no problem on the first try. If @GOTLOCKED96 indeed has an RS3000 then this part number would work for both I imagine. You'll notice the last 3 digits of the FCC IDs don't match in my case... still worked.

I also picked up some OEM replacement keys from Vintage Teq Parts for $9.25 each while I was at it.

Just to recap on an earlier message in the thread. I searched one of the available fobs that was listed on eBay and it popped up but for Isuzu Rodeo, that doesn’t matter right? Will this still work for my 1996 LX450?

I bought some knock off remotes and after programming them myself I have to use the lock button to both lock and unlock. Have others been able to program knock off remotes to use both the lock and unlock buttons?

For those that have worked, do all the numbers have to match, including the last three (013 in my case), or just to a certain point?

Bought that too and now I have 2 remotes I have no use for. Brand new. If anybody wants them, pm and I can sell to you. I thought the wiring was the issue. Turns out it’s the remotes...
Are you saying they work or didn’t work? I’m interested for my lx450. Cheers
