Yes but with the battery not completely charged it should read higher on a pre '79.

Just curious how hard they are to come by
Mine currently has no cover
photos would be awesome, saw a 25 cover below, but mine is a 40
And the amperage is dif, as well as fuse amounts ( mine has 5 fuses // 30-30-5-15-15 // )

Yes, but at my shop. I'll get you some photos when I get over there next (too cold to be wrenching on the mercedes project).
Mine has it in english, and when you hold the paper up to the light, you can see the paper with the japanese writing under it. Pretty cool.
Cool MOG!
Now how about more pics of your 40 on its trail rides![]()
Generator will not bring 14V at idlle, you need more revs or change to alternator.
Going to clean up the light switch connections next, then clean my fuse box connections to seee if i can reduce the resistance in my wiring
Also plan to run through and make sure all my grounds are solid.
Destin, consider adding a little dielectric grease to your connections after you clean them up. It keeps water and corrosion out.

**** really?
The old dude at the electric shop seemed **** certain he could get it running that way, he said he just got an old truck running up at 14v at idle with a proper generator brushes etc...
At the very least i should have a generator with the correct 12 volt brushes and armature correct?

Is this what you're looking for?
I'm not saying your doing wrong on this, just that a gen. needs 1000 to 1500 revs to deliver 14V. Just don't want you to think something is wrong when the work is done and it at 12V when idlle.![]()
