Oh DUH!

I'll be happy when the paint stage of the job is over. We have had nothing but rain here for a solid week. Can only prime until the humidity level comes down some.

FINALLY got some dry weather. Springs, perches, axles all coated with Eastwood Extreme Black. Took a little thinking about how to get the frame off the lift, it was upside down and on to jack stands by myself and not damage the paint.

A care package from Georg, completely rebuilt and already attached to the adapter, twin sticks too. I can not say enough good things about George and Valley Hybrids. If you get the opportunity to work with George you will not regret it, he is fantastic to work with

Concur with Stan he supplied my rebuild with a new to me transfer case and couldn't be happier!! @orangefj45

Good God I would love to have a V8 in my 62. I'd be perfectly happy with a 5.3 Vortec, but I just don't see being able to afford it anytime in the foreseeable future :crybaby:

You and me both dude.

Here is a dumb question, do you have to drop the tranny to remove the t-case? I know that the seal on mine is leaking between it and the tranny. This is something I would like to refurbish soon-ish.

You do not have to remove the trans to remove the T-case. You do have to take the T-case apart to remove it from the trans as there are bolts that go through the front half of the case into the trans. Personally I prefer to take the trans and T-case out as a unit and take them apart on the bench rather than above my head on the lift. Even less fun laying on your back on a creeper.

I agree with Stan. I've done this job numerous times. Tried it "in the vehicle" a few times but it's just easier to do the work on the bench.

Thanks for the kind words Stan. Glad you're happy with my work and product.

I guess I need to charge you, huh?!

If you don't mind, please give me a call later today and we'll go over your bill.

Thanks again!!!!

Geez, this having to pay for the stuff I order is really putting a cramp on my finances :)

Thanks again Georg, always a pleasure.

Ok cool thanks for the info... Pretty sure my rear main is leaking so if I was to drop it as one piece then I would go for replacing that as well. Probably do an inspection of the clutch slave and master as something is leaking down there making the boot over the clutch fork all engorged and what not.

Got the axles hung this morning

For some odd reason I read this as "Got the axles and got hung this morning...." Was thinking, new line of work Stan?

Trust me, I am far better suited to working on trucks................

That's the brakes..............
