Defrost/heater hose source

Like many of you Im sure, my defrost hoses are cracked, dirty and worn.

I did a bit of research this weekend and found this:

Looks nice but the price seems high. I went to Sears and bought some wet/dry vacuum hose for $20.00. It looks good and it will bend at a tight 90 degree so it fits right. Its very nice to have a defroster again.

We just bought a new Hoover upright vac. with a hose on it and that hose seems perfect for this!

Not sure how much a replacement is...

i used hvac ducting from a big rig...is sold in bulk through companies that handle red dot or behr products.

I went to the local Merles Automotive and bought 11-12 ft for $21.00.

no elbows. can't remember what i paid, but it was a few bucks...bought it about 8 years ago.

I found some later (78ish?) FJ40 heater hoses at a swap meet. They had squared ends but I cut those off and stretched em and hose-clamped em in place. Just trying to keep it all Toyota...

I found replacements at Man-a-fre, but I don't know if they have anymore. It was a few years ago.
