Has anyone else changed their rear coils and measured a notable difference in the AHC pressures? In this thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/666513-ahc-high-pressure-values-what-do.html Dinosaur reported that his only changed a few tenths. Kinda curious on why that may be, and what the next step would be. Getting second thoughts on swapping out my coils now.

Last night I finally got around to flushing the AHC fluid. Pretty simple, but if I were to do it again:
1. I'd put a small 2nd hole in the bottle cap lid to vent out air, beside the bigger hole for the tube. I was getting a nasty backflow whenever I'd pull the tube off the zerk after draining out the fluid, due to the pressure building inside the bottle as it would fill with fluid. If you have a big enough gap around the tube hole, then I imagine that would be fine, but mine was air-tight. Once I drilled out a 2nd hole, problem was solved.
2. I used a larger bottle to catch the draining fluid. Next time I would use the smaller bottle and pour out the fluid into a different container between each station drain, to better see the fluid as it collects in the bottle at each drain point. Instead, I just kept draining into the same bottle, and had to rely on the color of the fluid as it went thru the tube. I started second guessing myself when clean fluid started coming out very quickly once I reached the FR actuator, which was the 4th station to drain.
I used about 1.5 cans of fluid. I hit each station once, and the accumulator twice.
My Pressure Sensor Readings (2006 LX470 66k miles mommy machine):
1. A month ago Front 7.6, Rear 6.8.
2. Today after flushing last night Front 7.3 Rear 6.7
3. Today after adjusting the torsion bars Front 7.0 Rear 6.6
At this point I'm probably not going to replace the coil springs.
One thing to note, a month ago my Accumulator Pressure Sensor read 8.5.
Today it read 10.4. It would be nice to know if that is in spec and what the spec range is for that, if anyone knows. (EDIT: Yes, its in spec)

The piston type accumulator is only used to quickly raise the vehicle height. it doesn't effect ride comfort or handling the way the diaphragm accumulators/globes do so (as far as i know) there's nothing to adjust and nothing to worry about there as long as it works. I don't remember seeing a spec for the pressue but i do remember mine always being 10+ after it has been refilled (ie after the pump has stopped runnig, say maybe 30 seconds after raised to N).dealmaker said:
i'd bet that when you saw 8.5 you had just caught the pressure almost immediately after the vehicle was raised to N but before the pump finished replenishing the piston accumulator's pressure.
10.4 sounds right from what i remember - out of town now or i'd check my screenshots to be 100% certain.

After putting on my front bumper and winch, my AHC started going to LOW. It seems placing weight so far forward makes a HUGE difference to the front pressures.
The front measurement via this tool was over 10mpa.
It's supposed to be 6.5.
After cranking the t-bars approximately 10-15 turns, I've gotten them maxed out before reindexing.
My droop is a hair under 2 inches, the minimum.
My pressures are now down to 7.2 in the front.
I wonder what's up with my FR FL sensor readings. I'm guessing I'm on uneven ground... 1" grade over 5 feet.

15 turns R, 13 turns L.
I have 1.8" droop.
PS: I still can't get it to show any settings related to door unlocks. The only settings it lets me modify is telescopic wheel.

I just ordered mine, I should have some readings pretty soon. My coils are seven years old so I'm looking forward to seeing the pressure in suspension.
Second time this week that I can't find info I know is here. What are the FSM recommended settings for neutral pressure for front and rear. I am hoping to make all adjustments this weekend. Thanks in advance.

I have seen a number of references to a steering angle reset here. I have searched and cannot find how it is done. Is there a good detail on performing a steering angle reset? Is is done in the Techstream software or by shorting pins in the connector?

PADDO - Thanks, using what reader? Is there a difference?
They are the pressures read via TechStream, if using a pressure gauge you will read about 1Mpa lower IIRC. ie TechStream 6.9Mpa = 5.9Mpa gauge. I think most people use TechStream as hooking up the gauge at all points, loosing fluid etc would be a PITA.

I've only done it in TechStream, a couple of clicks on the laptop, easy. IIRC there is also a procedure in the FSM to do it via shorting terminals, can't remember which section though, steering chapter would be the logical place to start I suppose. It's basically unlock steering actuator, recentre wheel, relock actuator, let system self recalibrate for 5 seconds.

So, I bought this cable an disc a while ago and just tried to use it. My computer would not recognize the disc. It thought it was blank. Any thoughts?

I have not found any steering angle reset function in TS for non-vgrs cruisers.
Thanks for the response, Paddo. I may just be slow, but I have not found the correct clicks in TechStream for the steering angle reset. TechStream is not very intuitive. Does anybody have a more specific instruction (or screen shot) of the menus or buttons for a streering angle reset in TeckStream?

I think I have found why I cannot find the settings in TechStream for the steering angle reset. I have a 2002 LX470 and it does not have VGRS. I think that is my problem.

My steering is 36 deg out. I haven't found any way to rectify it in the handbooks. The steering angle sensor is not described in detail.
I suppose I will open it up and find a way; or just adjust the tie rods a bit one way, and move the steering wheel accordingly to compensate.

I found a link to downloard the software, but my anitvirus software went nuts and quarantined it.
