I finally made my first trip to Death Valley and all I can say is WOW! I spent 4 days there last weekend with a cousin and bro-in-law and tried to cover as much of the park as possible but only scratched the surface that there is to see in this incredible place.

Over the 4 days we hit West side road, Bad Water, Devils Golf Course, Zabriskie Point, Scotty’s Castle, The Racetrack, Aguereberry Point, and the Sand Dunes at Stovepipe Wells. The point of the trip really was not to wheel so much as to see the sites and take a lot of pictures.

My cousin is a professional photographer and has been interested in going to the Racetrack for a long time to shoot the moving rocks so it was a good time to try and pick up some pointers. Our schedule pretty much revolved around sunrise and sunset because of the lighting that he wanted so we were on site before dark and shooting when the sun went down. The morning we were at the Racetrack it was 5:30 am and 21 degrees out on the playa and I had to run around to stay warm but it was worth the sunrise that came.

I will definitely be heading back soon to see all the places I missed.

1st pics are Bad Water, West Road and Devils Golf Course.

Wow, that DV scenery is awesome!

P.S. Dan, your rig is looking good, especially with the new lift.

Very nice! This makes me want to do another DV trip. It's gotta be on everyone's list if you haven't done it yet. Great pics, thanks for sharing.
