Yeah, I racked up 815 miles Round Trip.

Tire'S'? What happened after I left? I still have to grab my paper work and see if my tires have road hazard or not. I need to get that huge splinter out of it. I am thinking I picked it up from the board my parents have at the curb to get into their driveway.

Right on, toss me the website url after your done. I'll get a trip report up tonight or tomorrow hopefully.

Oh nothing happened to our tires... but we saw one group that blew through 2 spares! There's a ton of shale type rock out there that slice your tire up fast. Just hear awful things about that dirt road.

Here's one of my favorites

Thats a fine looking "ass''! :D

Donkey or mule - still an ass.

Cant wait to see the pics - less ass more view!

The really good views were ruined by us Southern Californians and our fires :(

I have a good shot of the BURRO too. I grew up out there and I was a Burroughs Burro although all the other schools we went to play called us the JACK ASS'

Hey Dave, did you ever hear when your friend found the bumper sticker?

Yeah the hippie always tries to pull tricks on Brian (the Tacoma guy).. so hes wise to his crap. So after pulling out of the campground he stopped and walked around and found it right away lol :D

I am only bringing 1 spare tire, a neddle, thread inter tube and a co2 tank. I am also not driving from the crator to the race tracks but rater from saline valley to the race track.

what about

Did you guys do Pleasant Canyon? That was an awesome trail, scared the crap out of me in a few places too. I wonder if you went over that bridge up on the shelf road. I got up to it in my 05 Tacoma a year or so ago and chickened out. If you can believe this we/I went backwards away from the obstacle did a 15 point turn to turn around on the little shelf and drove back the way I came. We did the trailcounter clockwise. I just wonder if an 80 can fit if someone had the nerve?

BTW nice pics I look forward to seeing more

Nope, we were planning on running Pleasant Canyon and South Park Loop... but i decided not to with our rig. The bridge up there is only rated for 6,000 lbs and we are sitting around 7,400. I'd hate to break the sucker and then tumble off the cliff :( Plus we had a large F150 with us and the driver didn't have a whole lot of experience. A 80 can fit yes.. they take Hummers through it.

Well, I had good news on Friday. I took my tire in to see what damage the stick I picked up on my way out to D.V. did and they told me it didn't puncture my Cooper Discoverer STT's.
So the back story is that when I got out to Panamint Springs my Dad noticed a stick in my rear PS tire. Man he notices a lot of things, he noticed the next day that my tags were over due. Anyway we poured water on the tire and didn't notice any bubbles and it had not loss any pressure so we cut the stick down and left it on the rest of the day. I ended up driving out to Furnace Creek and doing a run with my buddy but didn't let out any pressure for the EZ trail. The next morning knowing that I would be airing down for a day of trail riding I decided to switch to my spare and fortunately didn't have any problems the rest of the trip causing me to go back to the injured tire.
The stick was in the valley of the MT tread and very close to the edge almost on the sidewall so I was worried that they wouldn't be able to repair it. In fact when I dropped it off a guy I hadn't dealt with before told me it didn't look good if it had punctured, so I then brought up that I had Road Hazard and he looked at my truck still dirty from the weekend and said, "It doesn't cover off-road". I then said with my dirty truck in the background, "I didn't get it off-road, I got it on my way out to the trails". So, glad I didn't have to deal with that side of the situation.
Oh and as for the tags my Dad noticed, my truck passed smog while they were checking out my tire and my tags should be coming in this week. Fortunately my Sister works for the DMV and was able to give me a form to fill out to wave the late fees since I never received the paper work in the first place.
